The Vyper Adjustable Armrest is one of those accessories that seems unnecessary until you spend a few hours sitting in the chair without it. The chair itself is already comfortable, but without armrests, your shoulders and forearms are still doing more work than they need to.

This gives you an actual place to rest your arms while you’re sitting at a workbench, detailing, welding, assembling parts, working at a computer, or doing anything else that keeps you in the chair for an extended period. Instead of letting your arms hang at your sides or constantly leaning forward onto the bench, you can support your forearms and settle into a much more natural working position.

What makes this different from a cheap set of fixed armrests is the amount of adjustment. You can change the height, width, and angle of the pads to match your body, the chair, and the type of work you’re doing. That matters because the correct position for typing at a desk is not necessarily the same position you’d want while welding, working at a bench, or sitting back between jobs.

The pads use 2.5 inches of cushioning, so they provide actual support rather than feeling like a couple of hard plastic blocks bolted onto the chair. The complete assembly feels like it belongs on the Vyper instead of looking like a universal accessory that was added as an afterthought.

I wouldn’t call the armrest essential for someone who mainly uses the Vyper for short jobs around a vehicle. But if you spend hours at a workbench, use the chair at a desk, or want the most comfortable version of the Vyper possible, this is one of the upgrades that makes the most noticeable difference.

Compatibility

The Adjustable Armrest fits all Vyper Robust Steel Max and Elevated Steel Max chairs, including the newer EZ Lift models and earlier Quick Height and Acme Rod versions.

It can be paired with the Vyper Big Boy Attachment. It is not compatible with the Sidekick Attachment, so you’ll need to choose between those two accessories when configuring your chair.

The armrest can be added when purchasing a new chair or installed later on a compatible Vyper you already own.
