What it does is strip the minerals and contaminants out of your tap water before it ever touches your paint. Those minerals are what dry on the surface and leave spots or, worse, etch into your clear coat. With deionized water, that's not a concern.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\"\u003eI run this with my pressure washer and only switch to the DI water for the final rinse. That way I'm not burning through the resin any faster than I need to.
