so they can withstand the heat and lateral forces that beat up the structural integrity of the foam.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eI've been using these since RUPES first launched them and now the color codes are ingrained in my brain: Blue - Heavy Polishing, Green - Medium, Yellow - 1 Step or Finishing, White - Finishing.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Yellow pad is probably the most used pad in my arsenal.  I often use it with something like \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.obsessedgarage.mom\/products\/d5-sonax-perfect-finish\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eSonax Perfect Finish\u003c\/a\u003e to polish using a single step.  You may also find that since this is a bit stiffer than the White pad, on certain paints you'll get a better finishing result.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs much as I like complete sets, I only find the Yellow and White pads headquarters, I knew I'd found it.  I have the Griot's and Adam's version, but I've never been in love with either one of them.  This one serves several different functions as seen in the video Pads:\u003c\/span\u003e  Microfiber mats up and tends to flatten out when using.  Certain polishes like M105 really build up on the fibers.  I use the brush after each section I polish to break up the fibers before blowing out with compressed air.  \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUse this instead of your finger to apply polish on pads.  Spread the polish on your pad, then use the knife looking edge to \"butter\" the entire surface.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe hook and loop backing plates on modern polishers have much stronger grip on pads to keep them seated for the longer throw.  This fits and acts as a lever between the Velcro backing of the pad and the backing plate of the polisher to help you remove the pad without dual-action random orbit motion is that it becomes more aggressive the smaller the diameter.  You'll likely need to use lower speeds and fewer passes than you would with a larger 5\" or 6\" pad.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese are from the Lake Country HDO line and are as close as we have to the Meguiar's pads that I'm so fond of using.  Meguiar's doesn't make small pads in these
