I emailed them about 6 times and got nowhere, so I kept searching.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIn that search, I found an old SEMA video from several years ago about 3M Precision tape. Call something precision, and you have my attention! The problem was trying to find it. I ordered my 3 preferred sizes from a few shady online sites, paying way too much for each roll, but I got some. To my surprise, when my 3M tape showed up, it said, \"Made in Japan\" on the inside of the roll, and it was very similar (pretty much the same) as the Kamoi stuff. I don’t know this for sure, but I would guess Kamoi makes it for 3M.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe hardest part was sourcing it. After searching far and wide, I now have the 1\/4”, 1”, 2” here in the OG store. If you are willing to take your car care skills to this level, you should have already become proficient in your washing process and have now figured out how to decontaminate your car in preparation to pick up a polisher. So the question you should ask yourself is, \"Am I ready and capable of removing scratches and swirls in my paint?\" I think the answer to that question is simple if you've followed along with me through the washing and decon processes. As much as detailers wouldn't like to admit, getting a decent result with a polisher isn't all that difficult. Now...there are different levels of correction and results, but I think we can all greatly improve our car's finish with minimal risk and a healthy dose of not being stupid.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"\u003eThere are a lot of great polishes out there. I've been guilty of jumping around a lot from polish to polish to come to this conclusion. Sonax Perfect Finish is an example.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cspan data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"\u003eFinishing: I happen to use Perfect Finish to finish most of the time, but there are dedicated polishes that are used to refine the surface after compounding or when you just want to clean up a car that doesn't have any major defects.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"\u003eIn the world of finishing polishes, this is quite different than most. It has diminishing properties, which means it starts out with some cutting ability and, with successive passes, breaks down to a finer finisher. Pads:\u003c\/span\u003e  Microfiber mats up and tends to flatten out when using.  Certain polishes like M105 really build up on the fibers.  I use the brush after each section I polish to break up the fibers before blowing out with compressed air.  \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUse this instead of your finger to apply polish on pads.  Spread the polish on your pad, then use the knife looking edge to \"butter\" the entire surface.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe hook and loop backing plates on modern polishers have much stronger grip on pads to keep them seated for the longer throw.  This fits and acts as a lever between the Velcro backing of the pad and the backing plate of the polisher to help you remove the pad without dual-action random orbit motion is that it becomes more aggressive the smaller the diameter.  You'll likely need to use lower speeds and fewer passes than you would with a larger 5\" or 6\" pad.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese are from the Lake Country HDO line and are as close as we have to the Meguiar's pads that I'm so fond of using.  Meguiar's doesn't make small pads in these
